Danish candy: the licorice, chocolate and marzipan to know

The Nordic countries eat most of the world's licorice, 80 to 90 percent of it by one count, and Denmark was an early maker: Galle & Jessen's Ga-Jol pastilles were among the first salty licorice in the region. Danish chocolate makers win gold at the International Chocolate Awards, and Danish marzipan is sold in some 25 countries.
