Why it is renowned
La Dalia 100% won gold in the Best 100% category at the 2023 International Chocolate Awards.1 Friis-Holm counts it among its gold winners at the World final in 2021 and 2023 and at the European final in 2025 and 2026.2
The story
Friis-Holm calls its La Dalia chocolates 'The Lazy Cocoa Growers Blend': the farmers would not sort the cacao beans by variety, so the bars are made from a mix of many sorts.1 The series also holds 60%, 70% and 85% bars.1
The 100% bar is made from cocoa beans and cocoa butter alone, with at least 99% cocoa solids, and the house describes it as very acidic, with a mineral character.1
