Why it is renowned

Dark Milk 55% has taken gold at the world final of the International Chocolate Awards twice, in 2013 and 2023, and gold at the European final in 2021.1 It was Friis-Holm's first milk chocolate.2

The story

Mikkel Friis-Holm set out to make a dark milk chocolate, and Dark Milk 55% became the house's first milk bar.2 It is a blend of five sorts of cacao, made with cocoa beans, sugar, cocoa butter and milk powder, with at least 55% cocoa solids; it tastes of caramel as well as of the cacao itself.2
