Danish toys: LEGO and the other toys the world knows
The best-known Danish toy is the LEGO brick, made in Billund since 1958 by a company that began in a carpenter's workshop in 1932. Danish designers have also made wooden toys that are now collected as much as played with; Kay Bojesen started with his in 1922, and his monkey of 1951 is still made.
