Danish licorice: the makers to know

Salty licorice, flavoured with ammonium chloride, is a Nordic taste, and the Nordic countries eat most of the world's licorice. In Denmark, Galle & Jessen's Ga-Jol pastilles came early; since 2007 Lakrids by Bülow has taken Danish licorice to shops far beyond the region.
