Why it is renowned

The Maxi is Hama's largest ironing bead: 10 millimetres across, twice the width of the Midi, and the size Hama recommends for the youngest children, from the age of three.1

The story

Hama brought out the Maxi bead in 1982, after the Midi of 1971 and the Mini of 1978.2 A Maxi bead is 10 millimetres across and 10 millimetres long, and it has pegboards of its own, sized to the bead.1 Hama sells it in kits with a shaped pegboard, such as a small dog.3
