Why it is renowned

Wood Wood is known abroad for streetwear that borrows from sport, art and music, and for its many collaborations: more than fifty, with Nike, Adidas, Asics, Barbour, Eastpak and LEGO among them.¹ It has shown collections in Florence and London, opened a sales showroom in London in 2014 and presented at London Fashion Week Men's for three seasons.²¹

Outside Denmark it runs two stores in Berlin, and in 2019 it opened a 5,300 sq ft store at 33–35 Brewer Street in Soho, London.²¹ In the UK it has also been sold by Liberty London, End and Goodhood.²

The story

Magnus Carstensen, Karl-Oskar Olsen and Brian SS Jensen founded Wood Wood in Copenhagen in 2002 and soon after opened their first stores in the city.³ The founders grew up with graffiti and street culture in the 1990s, and the label began as a small shop selling T-shirts.¹

It is based in Nørrebro in Copenhagen and is still directed by Olsen and Jensen.¹ Its collections cover menswear, womenswear and kidswear, and its stores sell its own label beside other brands.²
