Why it is renowned
The hafnia is Triobike's three-wheeler for families: a squared box of 280 litres with seats for up to four children, two steps on each side for climbing in and out, and a hood with a rear window.1 It is built to meet the German TÜV Rheinland certification, and its electric system meets the European EN 15194 standard.1
The story
Triobike designed and developed the hafnia in Copenhagen.1 The front wheels have a negative camber and the rear frame leans into the turn, so the rider's weight moves with the corner; with its anti-tip design and wide tyres, this keeps the bike stable with four children in the box.1 It has hydraulic disc brakes, a one-hand parking lock, lights fed by the motor's battery, cable routing that resists freezing and a corrosion treatment for wet weather.1
