Why it is renowned
The Boxter CL is Triobike's three-wheeled bike for families: its box, moulded in one seamless piece with a non-slip floor, holds 280 litres and up to 150 kg, with seats for two or four children, each with a CE-approved belt.1 Triobike builds it with what it calls its anti-tip design: the front wheels are angled and the frame leans slightly inward in turns, which keeps the bike steady through turns.1
The story
Triobike designed and developed the Boxter CL in Denmark.1 It runs on a Bosch Cargo Line centre motor of 85 Nm with a Kiox 300 display, a maintenance-free belt drive and an Enviolo Extreme continuously variable hub, and stops on four-piston Tektro hydraulic disc brakes on all three wheels.1 Its hood is made of through-dyed acrylic fibre with a rear window and a skylight.1 A sister model, the Boxter Air II, shares the 280-litre box with a Bafang M400 motor.2
