Why it is renowned
On 26 February 2015 Gastromé, Substans and Frederikshøj became the first Danish restaurants outside Copenhagen to win a Michelin star, and Gastromé has kept its star every year since.1 It holds one star in the 2026 edition of the guide.2
The story
Childhood friends Søren Jakobsen and William Jørgensen opened Gastromé on 28 August 2014; they already ran Det Gamle Mejeri in the woods at Vilhelmsborg near Mårslet.1 The first rooms seated about 40 guests, and a Michelin inspector came six days after the opening.1 The restaurant has since moved to a villa on Grenåvej, where the kitchen follows the seasons.13
