Why it is renowned
The MATE ICON carries on the MATE City, the bike that made the brand: its Indiegogo campaign in 2017 was the largest ever run for an e-bike and sold more than 10,000 bikes in a few months.1
The story
The MATE City came first in 2017; the ICON is its lighter successor and folds in a few seconds without tools.1 It has a torque sensor that answers the rider's pedalling, hydraulic disc brakes and suspension at front and rear, and it comes in four colours, among them a muted burgundy and a pale green-blue.1
