Why it is renowned
When the BER launched officially on 23 June 2026, the cycling magazine Momentum Mag counted it among the lightest full-sized commuter e-bikes on the market, at 37.5 pounds with its battery, and singled out its quiet, low-maintenance belt drive.1 It carries the lines of Skibsted's CPH and AMS city bikes into a pedal-assist e-bike.2
The story
Jens Martin Skibsted designed the BER with Manyone.2 It first appeared in a crowdfunding campaign in 2024.3 The frame is aluminium; a Gates Carbon Drive belt replaces the chain, a torque sensor in the bottom bracket sets the motor's help, and a 250 Wh battery sits inside the frame tube.421 The handlebar and seatpost carry built-in lights.4 It comes in white, orange, black and grey.2
