Why it is renowned

Fendi sold the bike in select Fendi stores as part of a lifestyle collection; in Japan it was to go on sale from mid-August 2023 at Palazzo Fendi Omotesando in Tokyo and online, as the Japanese magazine TABI LABO reported.12 Fendi's creative director Kim Jones described it as a marriage of Fendi's innovation with MATE's philosophy.2

The story

The bike is the MATE City, MATE's first e-bike, dressed by Fendi: the FF logo covers the whole frame in beige, and a mini Baguette bag in brown fits the handlebar.23 It keeps the City's full suspension, LCD display, built-in USB charging and three-step fold.2 A second version with 2.4-inch semi-fat tyres was announced for Japan for autumn 2023.1 The edition is sold out.3
