Why it is renowned

The Cargo won Svajerløbet, a small local race, on its first outing in 2012, and took first and second in the cargo race of the Cycle Messenger World Championships in Lausanne in 2013.1 The Radavist reviewed it in 2022: about 45 pounds unloaded, the longest of OMNIUM's three models, and able to carry complete bikes without taking their wheels off.2

The story

Jimmi Bargisen, a Copenhagen bike messenger, drew the Cargo to carry bulky parcels, and the first prototypes arrived in 2012.1 The Cargo puts a platform over a 20-inch front wheel joined to the frame by linkage steering, and it comes in five frame sizes.2 The current V3 has adjustable rocker dropouts.3 It also comes with a Gates belt drive and internal gears, as the E-Cargo with a Shimano STEPS EP8 motor, and as the Ti Cargo with a titanium frame and room for 55 mm tyres.3
