Why it is renowned
Tromborg launched its full skincare and makeup range in Britain in late 2013, led by its Below 10 Degrees Cream.1 Vogue Hong Kong named it among the Danish beauty brands to know in 2019, for its anti-ageing skincare and its mineral makeup.2
The story
Marianne Tromborg, a former professional makeup artist, founded the family company in 2003. Her husband, the biochemist Tim Schyberg, came from research in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and leads the house's own research and development.3 The formulas combine peptides and antioxidants with organic essential oils and plants such as mallow, calendula, mullein and saffron, and everything is made at Tromborg's own factory and laboratory in Denmark.3 Tubes for the hand cream, foot cream and body lotion are made from sugar cane rather than plastic.4
