Why it is renowned
AIAIAI's modular TMA-2 headphone is in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.1 It has won the Good Design Award of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, a gold Cannes Lions trophy for product design and a silver Clio award.1 Its portable studio monitor, the UNIT-4, won a Red Dot Design Award in 2024.1 The company keeps a showroom and studio space in Los Angeles, and DJs and producers such as Richie Hawtin, Bonobo and Charlotte de Witte work with it.1
The story
AIAIAI was founded in Denmark in 2006 and has its headquarters, showroom and office in the centre of Copenhagen.1 It designs for people who make music, on the road, in the studio and on stage, and builds its headphones from parts that can be swapped and replaced so they last.12
