Why it is renowned

OpéraSPORT has held the opening spot at Copenhagen Fashion Week in recent seasons.1 The magazine Wonderland interviewed its founders about the autumn/winter 2025 collection, which drew on Art Deco geometry and on the accession of King Frederik and Queen Mary, with Puma Speedcat ballet flats on the runway.2 Coveteur reviewed the spring/summer 2027 show in Carl Jacobsen's Garden in August 2026, naming its silk-fringed sash belts, one-shoulder shirts and lace corset tops as the house's signatures.1 Vogue Scandinavia covered the same show.3

The story

OpéraSPORT is a Copenhagen-based fashion brand established in 2019 by Awa Malina Stelter and Stephanie Gundelach.4 Stelter brought a background in design, production and marketing, and Gundelach one in styling and branding.4 Gundelach had worked as a stylist in Paris before the label began.2 Its clothes are made mainly from recycled or organic fabrics.4 The brand runs a flagship store and office at Borgergade 142 in Copenhagen.5 It shows at Copenhagen Fashion Week and has been screened by the week's Sustainability Committee as compliant with its minimum standards.6
