Why it is renowned

In 2026 O. Files was one of four finalists for the Wessel & Vett Prize, described as Scandinavia's largest fashion award, and each finalist received 75,000 DKK.1 American Vogue profiled the finalists that April and named O. Files, with Berner Kühl, as a sign of the industry's continuing interest in menswear.1

The story

Oscar Jardorf, who holds a fashion management degree from Copenhagen School of Design and Technology, launched O. Files in 2018.1 He built the label online first, carrying a digital sensibility into how it reaches people.1 Rather than following the fashion calendar, O. Files works to a streetwear model and puts out collections in drops, about ten a year.1 Jardorf describes the label's tenets as traditional tailoring, "uniform codes," and a "distinctive, disciplined playfulness" that can surface as an origami-inspired pleat on a pair of trousers.1
