Why it is renowned
Caro Editions makes women's clothing that is mostly one of a kind or limited edition, cut from deadstock fabrics such as Chanel and Dries Van Noten offcuts, Harris tweed, Indian cotton, silk and velvet.1 In 2026 it was one of four finalists for the Wessel & Vett Prize, Scandinavia's largest fashion prize, and Vogue profiled it among them.2
The story
Caroline Bille Brahe (née Brasch Nielsen) was scouted at 13 and worked as a model before returning to Copenhagen and founding Caro Editions in 2022.2 She designs all the clothes with a small team and has moved the business toward made-to-order, so most pieces are now one-offs.2 The label runs a store and atelier in Borgergade, Copenhagen.1
