Why it is renowned
Cycling Without Age Canada lists the FLEX2 among its inclusive bikes: its ramp and locking points let a wheelchair user board without leaving the chair.1 Nihola pays an amount to Cycling Without Age for each FLEX2 sold to its departments.2
The story
Nihola builds the FLEX2 on the steering it has used for twenty years, with a hand-built Danish frame, powder-coated black and strengthened with steel bars in the cabin.2 It takes a wheelchair up to 72 cm wide; the rider, the passenger and the chair may weigh 280 kg together.2 The hood leans back and comes off without tools, and a front leg support helps load the chair.2
