Why it is renowned

The story
Mette Skjærbæk, a former model, founded Karmameju in Copenhagen in 1999 and built the range on organic ingredients.12 The creams and balms combine plant oils with essential oils used for aromatherapy: CALM balm, for instance, blends argan, meadowfoam, sea buckthorn and calendula oils with shea butter and kanuka, chamomile and lavender.5 The dry brushes are developed by Karmameju down to the hardness, type and length of the bristles, and made in Germany from FSC-certified beech wood, leather and horse-mane bristles.67 The ionic RECHARGE brush adds fine copper alloy threads to the bristles.7
