Why it is renowned
Enjoy the Music.com gave the T1 Silver Supreme Edition its world premiere review in 2026, seven years after it had given the US premiere review of the Børresen 01, the stand monitor the T1 succeeds.1 The reviewer, Michael Bump, found it so much its own speaker that comparing it with the 01 made little sense.1
The story
The T-series is made in Denmark and draws on Børresen's earlier 0-series and its M-series flagships, scaling down the M-series technology; the T1 is the stand-mount at its base, beside the T3 and T5 floorstanders.21
Its five-inch IronFree5 driver replaces the iron core of a usual motor with four neodymium rings set in a patented mirrored arrangement, with copper pole rings cast in-house; the membrane is an aramid honeycomb between two skins of spread-tow carbon fibre.2 The RP94 ribbon planar tweeter plays from about 2.5 kHz with a moving mass of 0.01 g.2 The two are joined by a serial crossover, and copper and silver rings, wiring, baskets, crossover coils and tweeter are cryogenically treated.2 The driver basket is titanium, where the M1 flagship uses 3D-printed zirconium; the Silver Supreme Edition replaces the copper pole rings with hand-made silver ones.1 The cabinet pairs high-gloss lacquer with real wood veneer over block-milled hardwood braces and carbon-fibre reinforcement.2
