Ansuz

Why it is renowned

The British magazine Hifi Pig reviewed its Mainz 8 C3 power distributor in 2023.¹ The same magazine reported its products at High End Vienna 2026 and at the Dutch Audio Event 2026.² Audio Group Denmark sells it through dealers in Europe, Asia, North America, South America and Oceania.³

The story

Lars Kristensen ran an audio shop in Aalborg in the 1980s, where he met Michael Børresen, then an engineering student. In 2012 they founded Ansuz, the first brand of what became Audio Group Denmark; the amplifier brand Aavik and the loudspeaker brand Børresen followed.⁴

The name comes from a Norse rune. The range covers signal, power and speaker cables, power distributors, grounding, network switches and resonance-control feet, built around the group's own active Tesla coils, anti-aerial resonance coils and dither circuits.⁵ Everything is developed and made at the group's headquarters in Aalborg.⁴
