Why it is renowned
Lille Mølle received a Michelin star in the 2026 Nordic guide, its first year in the selection.1 Its chef, Christoffer Sørensen, won the Michelin Young Chef Award in 2021.2
The draw is the setting as much as the cooking: a set menu of Nordic produce served inside a Dutch-style mill on the old ramparts of Christianshavn, a few minutes from the canals.3
The story
A post mill first stood on this spot on Christianshavns Vold in 1669, with permission from King Frederik III. In 1783 the millwright Andreas Jensen Hallander built the Dutch mill that stands today. It ground grain into flour, later alongside a steam mill, and in the early 1900s the engineer Ejnar Flach-Bundegaard and Johanne Flach-Bundegaard made it their home.3
The restaurant opened in the listed building in October 2025.3 Christoffer Sørensen trained under Søren Selin at Alberto K, spent close to ten years in the kitchen at Dragsholm Slot, the last of them as sous chef, and then ran the kitchen at Studio. He is also a trained chocolatier.4 The kitchen follows the seasons and ferments, pickles and preserves its produce in house.3
