Why it is renowned

In December 2025 Galerie Magazine named Cabin among seven things its editors loved that week, and called it the only place in Denmark with a continuous programme of Tim Wendelboe coffee.1 Highsnobiety wrote it up for its pastries by a former Noma chef.2

The story

FRAMA developed Cabin with the restaurateur Riccardo Marcon and its founder Niels Strøyer Christophersen, as a coffee bar from the team behind its wine bar Bar Vitrine.13 The barista Jun Nishimura, who learned his trade in Japan's third-wave coffee scene, makes the coffee; Dhriti Arora, who runs Bar Vitrine, oversees the baking.21

The narrow room is lined in pine, after Le Corbusier's Cabanon at Cap Moderne and Henry David Thoreau's Walden.3 It is furnished with built-ins and FRAMA pieces: Table 57 tables fixed to the floor, Petit Rond stools and window seats made of 01 stools.3 The end-grain pine floor was made with Dinesen, the upholstery is from Kvadrat and the speakers are by Audiovector.1
