Why it is renowned
Alimentum has held one Michelin star since the 2025 edition of the Michelin Guide and keeps it in 2026.1 In 2024 the guide gave it a Green Star for its sustainable cooking.2
The story
Alimentum sits on Løkkegade in central Aalborg.3 Much of its produce comes from Lille Østergård, an organic farm near Brønderslev since the mid-1990s, run for the restaurant by its own farmer, Morten Pedersen; the chefs go up to the farm to harvest, weed and plant.2 The farm has more than three hectares of crops in the fields and greenhouse, and beehives for honey.2 The wine list centres on organic and biodynamic wines.4
