Danish bacon and meat: the house to know

In 1887 farmers around Horsens founded Denmark's first co-operative pig abattoir, and within a few decades such abattoirs stood all over the country. They sold their bacon in England together from 1902, and the three tulips of Tulip, registered in 1909, became the first trademark registered in Denmark.
