Why it is renowned

Condé Nast Traveler names JUNO among the best bakeries in Copenhagen: most people queue at the small shop for the soft cardamom buns, baked by the trayful.1 VisitCopenhagen lists it among the city's best bakeries and pastry shops as a place for one of the city's best cardamom buns.2

The story

The bakery is run by Emil Glaser, a former pastry chef at Noma.1 It has served Copenhagen since 2018 from the ground floor of a five-storey residential building in Østerbro, at Århusgade 48.3 It also makes Danish butter cookies, by hand at its own bakery in Nordvest, from butter, sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla and salt.4
