The story

In the 1970s Nanny Glerup took a felting course and made a pair of felt boots for her husband Ove, who wore them everywhere.¹ In 1985 the couple bought Thasdalsgård, a run-down farm in North Jutland, and kept Gotland sheep there; the farm is still the company's headquarters.¹ Nanny made slippers from the sheep's wool for family and friends, then registered the company and took it to trade fairs.¹ A carding machine from 1936, bought in England and known as The Old Lady, raised production.¹ The slippers are felted from New Zealand wool, and a factory in Romania now makes them; rubber soles came on all adult models in 2017.¹
