The Rubber Coat Hancock is the coat Berner Kühl puts forward for its Made in Scotland outerwear, made with specialist Scottish coat makers who still do everything by hand.1 It is fully taped bonded cotton, which makes it fully waterproof.2

The story

For this outerwear Berner Kühl partnered with Scottish coat makers who work by hand.1 The bonded cotton comes from the Scottish producer Fothergill; the makers bond its layers by hand with a specially formulated adhesive and seal every seam with tape, which makes the coat fully waterproof.2 It has a half raglan sleeve, Hancock logo buttons and a metal chain hanger loop.2
