Why it is renowned
Vogue has reviewed HELIOT EMIL's fall 2023, spring 2024 and spring 2025 collections.1 Its spring 2025 show was built around a hanging chandelier of electrochromic glass made with the Swiss studio Encor, and the label has an ongoing collaboration with Alpinestars.2 The first collection was shown in Milan for spring/summer 2017.3
The story
The brothers Julius and Victor Juul present HELIOT EMIL from Copenhagen; Julius is the designer and creative director, Victor runs the business.32 Their first collection was shown in Milan for spring/summer 2017.3
The label develops its own fabrics, trims and hardware, and keeps to a monochrome palette.3 Its shows have used 3D-printed pieces, and for spring 2025 it made bulbous sneakers with the Italian shoemaker Staccato and a floor-length dress printed in 3D.2 Alongside the clothes it makes boots, bags and belts, among them suede hiking boots with a carabiner fastening at the heel.4
