Why it is renowned
The Primum Lounge Collection takes the upholstered Primum dining chair into the lounge: a swivel lounge chair with a flexible back and a low round table, both on a newly developed aluminium base.123 Sibast Furniture launched it in its exhibition Designed to Matter during 3daysofdesign 2026 in Copenhagen.13
The story
Henrik Hvid Hansen, an upholsterer who joined his family's company Bent Hansen in the 1990s and built its own furniture collection, designed the chair and table in 2026.42 The table was developed with Anna and Ditlev Sibast and borrows details from the Sibast No 7 family, linking the upholstered Primum pieces to the house's woodworking.43
The chair comes with or without armrests, with an optional tilt and a return swivel, on a polished or black aluminium base, upholstered in fabric or leather.23 The table has a top of solid oak or marble, 80 cm across and 40 cm high.43 Each piece is made to order in Sibast's own carpentry.2
