Why it is renowned

Panton One is Verner Panton's first chair.1 It began as the Tivoli chair, one of the designs Fritz Hansen commissioned from Panton in 1955.23 Montana makes it today under the name Panton One.13

The story

Montana makes it as a family of four: dining, kitchen, bar and lounge chairs.4 The seat and back are woven by hand, in polyurethane cord on a nylon core or in paper string, over a frame of stainless steel, polished chrome or lacquered steel.4 With a steel frame and cord it can stand outdoors, and the chairs stack ten high.4 The series carries the EU Ecolabel.4
