Why it is renowned

Anthon Berg calls plum in Madeira (Blomme i Madeira) the classic among its marzipan tarts. Newer flavours such as blueberry in vodka followed it.1

The story

Each tart holds fruit marmalade mixed with a wine or spirit in marzipan, all covered in dark chocolate.1 In Blomme i Madeira the marzipan makes up 41 percent and the plum-and-Madeira filling 25 percent, under chocolate of at least 50 percent cocoa solids.2 The line comes in six flavours: beside the plum there are Jordbær i Champagne (strawberry in champagne), Drue i Muscatvin (grape in muscat wine), Abrikos i Brandy (apricot in brandy), Blåbær i vodka (blueberry in vodka) and Hindbær i Orange Likør (raspberry in orange liqueur).3
