Why it is renowned

Crème Métamorphique was named best retinol night cream at the 2024 Prevention Beauty Awards, judged by a panel of dermatologists, make-up experts and beauty editors.1 It was the first vitamin A cream Beauté Pacifique put on the market, in 1997.2

The story

The house describes the cream as patented.3 It holds two forms of vitamin A, retinyl palmitate and retinyl acetate, carried by nanometre droplets of squalane, which the house uses to take the vitamins into the skin.3 Avocado oil, lanolin, glycerin and vitamin E make up the rest of the base.3 It is meant for the night and is used sparingly, every second evening for the first week while the skin gets used to the vitamin A.3 It is sold in a 50 ml jar and a 115 ml tube.3
