Why it is renowned

Mono & Stereo announced the Astrid ahead of its world debut at High End Vienna 2026.1 It was developed with particular attention to the human voice and fills the place in the range between the Gro and the Fenja.12

The story

SV-Audio had long planned a model between the Gro and the Fenja, and the Astrid is that speaker.2 It is a true two-way line source: four 5-inch woven polypropylene drivers play the same frequency range together under a silk-dome ring radiator tweeter, with a fairly low crossover point to keep the voice range seamless.2 The cabinet has two chambers that give the drivers separate bass volumes, and the wiring inside is pure copper.2

Its solid aluminium front carries the machined SV-Audio logo and the company's trademarked radiating pattern, which also reduces reflections across the baffle.2 Machining, cabinet work, painting, assembly and final checks are all done in-house in Denmark.2 The name comes from the Old Norse Ásfríðr, beloved by the gods.2
