Why it is renowned

The Fenja is the largest speaker SV-Audio makes and the step that took its design into a three-way loudspeaker for large rooms.1 Audiophiles.eu announced it in July 2024, and Hifi Pig, reviewing the smaller Frida, named it as the three-way floorstander in a range of three.23

The story

The Fenja is named after the giantess of Norse myth known for her strength.1 It is a three-way design with a 5-inch midrange and four 7-inch woofers, and silk-dome ring radiator tweeters: one at the front and one facing backwards, which can be switched on to widen the sound in the right room.12 At its launch the woofers and midrange were by SEAS, the crossover was phase-controlled with a discrete time delay, and the cabinet was built of five layers of solid tiger bamboo.2

The cabinet is divided into chambers, with the tweeter and midrange in the upper section and the woofers below, and it has a trapezoidal shape with a slightly angled front for time alignment.1 Seven small reflex ports are spread across its back.1 The front baffle is CNC-milled from aluminium with the company's pattern to reduce reflections.2
