Why it is renowned

The Epicon 8, the largest speaker of the series, won EISA's European High-End Audio award for 2012–2013.1 The Soft Magnetic Composite first used in the Epicon went on to DALI's Rubicon series in 2014, the Opticon in 2015 and the Oberon range in 2018.2

The story

DALI introduced the Epicon in 2012 with its Linear Drive Magnet System, made of Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC), a material designed and made in Denmark that cuts distortion in the midrange.2 In 2023 the Epikore 11 took the series further, with second-generation SMC midrange drivers, four 8-inch bass units and a hybrid tweeter module.2
