Why it is renowned
The Danish model Helena Christensen wore one to Vanity Fair's Oscars party in 2007, and in 2008 Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was photographed for an interview wearing one strung with Tahiti pearls and a pavé bead set with a pink Argyle diamond.1
The story
Mads Kornerup designed the bracelet in New York in 2001 for the rapper Jay Z: gold beads of one size, held together by macramé braiding.1 The 8mm version is made of 18 carat yellow gold set with G/VS diamonds and one faceted black diamond, on a charcoal grey string braided by hand.2 It can be customised in the house's Creator tool.2
