Why it is renowned
Shamballa Jewels is known for its braided bead bracelets and for its beads set all over in diamond pavé; the first pavé bead, of 2007, became a bestseller.1 The British title The Jewellery Editor calls it a Danish fine jewellery brand and writes that its bracelet has been worn by Jay-Z, Karl Lagerfeld, Gwyneth Paltrow and Giorgio Armani.2
The story
The Danish brothers Mads and Mikkel Kornerup founded Shamballa Jewels in Copenhagen in 2005, at first to change how men wear jewellery.1 The house opened its flagship store in Copenhagen in 2012 and a showroom in Paris, on Rue Saint-Honoré, in 2022.1 Its works include the SHAMBALLA Braided Bracelet of 2001, the Nyima Cuff of 2015, the SHAMBALLA Invisible Setting of 2018 and the Flip Lock Cuff of 2019.1
