Why it is renowned
Tura is a range of sculptural vases in chalk-white porcelain whose rounded shapes take after the female figure while keeping the vertical grooves of the Lyngby vase.1 Lyngby Porcelæn names Tura among the new designs of the house, beside its reissues of the Lyngby vase and Dan-Ild, and sells the vase in three heights through its own shop in the United States.21
The story
Philip Bro Ludvigsen developed the Tura vases with Lyngby Porcelæn during 2020, as a curved counterpoint to the classic Lyngby grooves.34 Ludvigsen graduated as an industrial designer from the School of Decorative Art in 1989 and has run his own studio, Philip Bro Design, since 1998, working also for Georg Jensen, Royal Copenhagen, IKEA and Le Klint.5
