Why it is renowned

Stelton names the watering can among the well-known designs of Peter Holmblad, its former chief executive and owner.1 Stelton put it back into production in 2020 to mark the company's 60th year.2 The design magazine Gessato covered the relaunch, noting the narrow spout that reaches into small pots without dripping and the curved handle that answers its angle.3

The story

Peter Holmblad designed the watering can in 1978; he also designed the Original series, which includes a cheese slicer and bar tools.12 The relaunch in 2020 was also meant as a tribute to him.2

The can is made of stainless steel and holds 1.7 litres; it is 33 cm long, 24.5 cm high and 13 cm wide.2
