Why it is renowned

In 2008 Lange Production took the sole rights to resume production of Grete Jalk's furniture, and the design magazine Dwell reported that it showed the pieces that year at the Orgatec fair in Cologne.1 It also makes the steel-and-leather furniture of Fabricius & Kastholm.2

The story

Henrik Lange, who began collecting design at the age of five, founded Lange Production in 2006 after Jørgen Kastholm handed him the rights to the whole Fabricius & Kastholm line; the first of its pieces came out that year.2 In 2008 he added Grete Jalk to the house's designers, and it makes its furniture with craftsmen in Denmark and Germany.2
