Why it is renowned

Vist belongs to the 39-piece collection Ferm Living made for spring 2025 after Can Lis, Jørn Utzon's house on Mallorca; Wallpaper* covered the collection and quoted Ferm Living's description of the chair as a love letter to Can Lis.1 Its Douglas fir was chosen to echo the Mallorcan pine used throughout the house.1

The story

Phillipp Materna, Ferm Living's head of design, visited Can Lis at the Utzon Foundation's invitation, and the collection followed.1 The chair takes its form from the house's joinery and millwork: a gently rounded seat and a curved, slatted back in oiled, FSC-certified solid Douglas fir.21
