Why it is renowned

Plinth is one of the collections Norm Architects, who designed some of the house's first pieces, still makes with Audo; in an interview with Surface, Audo named it with the Eave collection among the projects the two make together.1 The pieces are multifunctional marble and stone furniture.2

The story

Norm Architects, founded in Copenhagen in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, designed the Plinth collection for Audo.2 The tall Plinth Pedestal is a slim column for showing a vase, a lamp or an heirloom, and the collection around it keeps growing.2 It is made in Nero Marquina, Carrara and Calacatta Viola marble and Kunis Breccia stone, treated with a sealer to protect the surface.2
