Why it is renowned
Who What Wear listed the Nourishing Shampoo among the products in its guide to Copenhagen as a beauty destination.1 In the same piece Sidsel Alling, a photographer and contributing editor at Elle Denmark, says she uses the Woods Copenhagen shampoo series for thick hair because it makes her hair a little heavier rather than only bigger.1
The story
The Nourishing Shampoo is part of the Woods Copenhagen hair line, which was developed with Scandinavian hair experts and is free from silicones and SLS and SLES sulfates.2 It is made for dry, thick and curly hair and comes in a 400 ml bottle.3 Plant-based washing agents clean the hair and scalp, a blend of rice and wheat protein helps repair and strengthen the strands, and oils and extracts of cloudberry, bilberry and rosehip add moisture, vitamins and antioxidants.3 The formula is 92.9% natural and 69.8% organic, with a pH of 5.5 to 6.5, and carries a light scent of rose, citrus and freesia.3 Woods pairs it with its Nourishing Conditioner; a Volumizing Shampoo for fine hair sits beside it in the line.32
