Why it is renowned
Dynaudio's studio monitors are known in recording studios around the world: Air Lyndhurst in London, NRG Studios and The Hit Factory have used them, and BBC Radio & Music chose them as reference monitors.1 Its speakers have been fitted as factory sound systems by Volvo, Volkswagen and Bugatti.1
The story
Dynaudio was founded in Denmark in 1977 and is based in Skanderborg, in Jutland.1 It builds its speakers only with drivers it makes itself, using the MSP cone material and soft-dome fabric tweeters it has used since 1977.12 Its professional division, Dynaudio Professional, makes studio monitors.1 The Chinese group Goertek took a majority of the company in 2014.1
