A Danish jewellery house, making jewellery since 2002, that designs gold and silver jewellery with diamonds and pearls in Denmark and makes it in its own workshop in Vietnam.

Why it is renowned
Vogue Scandinavia profiled the house on its twentieth anniversary; its cluster earrings, the first design, had been worn by Beyoncé and Drew Barrymore.1 UN Women named its workshop, Julie Sandlau Viet Nam, SMEs Champion in Leadership Commitment at the 2021 Viet Nam WEPs Awards, and the workshop received a WEPs award again in 2022.23 Its own shops are in Copenhagen and Lyngby, and in Norway goldsmiths from Stavanger to Tromsø and the Thune chain in and around Oslo sell it.4
The story
Julie Sandlau has made jewellery since 2002.3 The pieces are designed in Denmark and have been made in the house's own production in Vietnam since 2005.5 The workshop joined the Responsible Jewellery Council in 2019 and by 2024 worked only in certified recycled gold and silver.3 The Heritage collection in 18 carat gold and diamonds began more than 20 years ago with a design around a 2 carat diamond Julie Sandlau received from her father.6
