Why it is renowned

Moonlight Grapes is a Georg Jensen jewellery collection, from small earrings to statement necklaces, built on an Art Nouveau motif from the house's early silver.1 It is made in recycled 18 carat gold and sterling silver, some pieces set with diamonds; its pendants and rings come in both silver and gold.21

The story

Georg Jensen put grape-shaped ornaments on his early silver hollowware after travels in Italy and France. The collection turned that motif into beaded jewellery, and its newer pieces rework the beads in more abstract forms.1
