Why it is renowned

MATKASTORIO won the ISPO Award 2024, chosen by a jury of outdoor experts at that year's ISPO fair in Germany.12 The jury singled out its 10-year warranty, its recycled materials and its testing to keep children warm down to -25°C, and called it a jacket that can be handed down to the next child.1

The story

The jacket comes from MINI A TURE in Copenhagen and was set for launch in mid-August 2025, in colours for boys and girls aged 4 to 14.1 It is made in certified factories in Asia.1

The shell is 100% recycled polyamide, windproof and waterproof to 12,000 mm with every seam taped.3 Insulation is split in two: soft fleece in the upper body and Sorona Aura, a partly plant-based padding, in the lower part.32 Internal straps let a child wear it over the shoulders when it gets too warm, and it has a detachable hood, snow cuffs with thumb holes, magnetic pocket closures and the house's reflective star in the right pocket.3 A version with a hood trim of fur from wild Finnish raccoons, an invasive species there, is also made.1
